Lightning strikes
as your voice makes magic
on a summer night
i think of a tall girl who works
at the cofeehouse, her legs
are as long as a note you
could hold, and just as memorable
you sing ” somewhere over the rainbow ”
and she becomes a rainbow
strutting like a cat in the night
smooth as a melody, you lay down
it’s no secret women and music
go together like bees and honey
even if she played me, she would
be worth the risk; i picture her
long legs, as she lay, as a dream
on a summer night; your voice
paints her into daylight, a dream
called “her”…
