Footprints to Infinity
gentle the footprints go
up through the wilderness
to the heart-shaped night
short of breath, shorter, inches away on my speakers
miles inside
a sphere of glad- sad melancoly, dark tree twilights
theme from a holy place
piano swirls, soft red flame
ascending orient snow mountain
bass hanging suspended billows mid-air
short evocative piercings
footprints furrowed with
all we’ve lost, gained
a talisman blowing full- moon frosted shakes
easy spacious strides
here, a rainy night earth pillow
no tide could wash away
footprints embedded in timeless shores
silent night rhapsodies
barreling down
where no weather vane is spinning
rainstorm blues
sailors crossing jazz swept moons
indigo space
footprints – size infinity
marching through ears to hearts where they
forever leave their mark
