The Ka-ching .of the Cash Registers
.
in the Cincy club
drowning Gary’s vibes.
Stan asked them to stop.
The sound of commerce
would have crushed the quiet
of Astrud.

Dan-
I liked this very much. Thanks for sharing. I saw Stan in Cleveland at the Smiling Dog Saloon around 1974-75, I can’t remember exactly. No Astrud. Rhythm section was local – Bill Dobbins on piano. Ernie Krivda joined in at some point on tenor also. Bass and drums I don’t remember. Good stuff. You’ll have to email me and tell me when you’re reading in Cleveland. I’d love to come hear you.
