I Dreamt I Was Here
Yes, I’m here in this hospital bed
But not having breakfast, like my dream said
I was sitting having Bran Flakes
And hot toast and tea
Twice I woke up having dreamt I was here
‘Twas beginning to quite confuse me
The lady in the next bed, her name is Barbara
Funnily, I dream’t it was Heather
Now a young lass called Anna has joined us
Probably trying to escape the snowy weather
The flakes are coming down heavily
Beginning to settle on the ground
Millions of really pretty snow flakes
Landing, not making a single sound
When you thinkof it, isn’t it quite amazing ?
There’ll never be two exactlly the same
Kind of like our dreams in a way
They can be similar, the repeat p’haps not so lame
As I said, last night I dreamt twice I was here, in this very bed
But today I didn’t quite have the breakfast, like my dread said
