My Country
My country, right or wrong
I call it home, the land my forefathers
Help built, but got little credit
My country, whom I’ll defend to the
Death. But some still see me as a
Refugee
Oh say, can you see the bullets
Flying in the air, as a cop’s life
Become more than a child ?
As Jimi’s guitar, sings of
A rocket ‘s red glare
A uterus is the only safe
haven for a child
Of Thee I sing…
But the 3/5 of me will defend America
To the end. I am my brother’s
Keeper, no matter what color
You are, I’ll call you my
Friend
No matter what injustice I bear
I’ll sing my song
I find my soul in Langston’s weary
Blues
My country, right or wrong.
