…..Duke Jordan will always be best remembered as the pianist in Charlie Parker’s classic quintet that also included Miles Davis, Tommy Potter and Max Roach. As a recording artist, Jordan made albums over the years for Prestige, Savoy, Blue Note, Muse, Spotlite, and Steeplechase, and, while debuting as a leader in 1954, wrote his most famous composition, “Jor-Du.”
