Clifford Brown, one of the top trumpeters of his era, died in a car accident in 1956 at the age of 25 (along with the pianist Richie Powell). The only known filmed appearance is of him playing two songs in 1955 on a Soupy Sales variety show. The footage was found after being lost for 40 years.
After a brief introduction by Sales, Brown plays “Oh, Lady Be Good,” and “Memories of You”
