…..Isham Jones was an American bandleader, saxophonist, bassist and songwriter whose best known compositions include “I’ll See You in My Dreams,” “There is No Greater Love” and “It Had to Be You.” His dance bands of the 1920s and ‘30s were among the most popular in the country. When he retired (temporarily) in 1936, band member Woody Herman took over the orchestra.
