Two topics of interest for poets to please take note of and consider:
- Poetry is currently being considered for inclusion in the upcoming Summer 2023 collection of jazz poetry.
For an example of how such a collection appears, please click this link:
The collection will be published in mid-August, 2023, and I request that you send your submissions by Friday July 14, 2023. (Previous and yet unpublished submissions will also be considered).
2. Additionally, I will be assembling a collection of jazz haiku (publication date TBD), and invite you to submit up to ten poems (total), also by July 14. These poems do not need to strictly follow the 5-7-5 syllabic structure of formal haiku, I just ask that they be faithful to the spirit of it (i.e., three lines, brief, expressive, emotionally insightful).
I hope you will consider submitting your work!
If you have questions concerning the poetry submission process, please click here.
Best wishes to you,
Joe Maita
