A Neighbor Stops By
At my desk enjoying the view
“Struttin With Some Barbecue”
A bluejay plump with an isosceles tail
Landed on the window shutter rail
Beaked a peek into the glass
Crowned head twitching bluejay sass
As if it dug Pop’s antique Jass
How I shared this bird’s delight
Until it flew away from sight
